Yeah, for 1k I'd rework that list.

Definitely the video card is the anker in that setup.
If you want ATI go for the HD2900 XT, it kicks the Nividia 8800 GTS to the ground.
However the 8800 is a good line to if you wish to stay with them.
If you need to even go lower in price the Nividia 8600s are ok.
