Just wondering what your opinions on what is going on with athletes these days.
Michael Vick, accused of dog fighting.
The ref dude who gambled on games he officiated.
Today I heard a report where a black advocate group played the race card saying that Vick was being judged by the media because he was black. Their reasoning for this was that if the NBA ref had been black he would have been persecuted as well.
*waving BS flag*
Racism? How can you even compare gambling on games you officiate to dog fighting. Theyre both wrong but the whole dog thing is sick. The pictures are disgusting. Had a white dude done the dogs he would be being crucified as well.
So with their argument should we just pat Vick on the back and tell him that well what he did was wrong, we forgive him because hes black. How does that work?
"oh were sorry for past injustices so this time were just gonna let you off because youre black."
Oh but wait again youre missing the whole point of justice.
