That is correct Bib, actually the second LAN party. We are still on the same machines from back then also and they were two years old at the time. I have replaced several GPUs and several PSUs since then, also added RAM. A few fans and a new, larger HD, but everything has always worked and I've always been able to play
I don't visit any questionable sites and have had only a few virus' that were easily removed. I rarely update anything except for AVG and SP3. my drivers are the ones I installed when I bought my 7800GT and haven't changed. My performance is the same as always and I don't try to fuck with things with hopes of gaining a few more FPS.
We plan on building a pair of new rigs, but not until work picks up, which could be months at the rate things are going. I'm just happy that our current rigs still perform as good as they do

I was looking at a 1200w, but shit, your talking over $400.
I'm hoping the one I ordered will handle 2 PC's. It should. Also I liked the fact that it has coax cable protection. And, can be controlled from my PC via usb.
Anyway, My MB got hung up in shipping and won't be here until tomarrow. Going to make for a long day. Guess I'll have to play with the kid's x-mas presents. You know, make sure they work ok.

We use that one here at the shop for our 2 main pc's . I got tired of our old one that every time the power flickered would set the alarm off on it ., Then would have to shut both PC's down to reset it . Has worked great so far with no problems and when the wind kicks up out here the power always flickers a couple times . If I ever bought one for home that would be it .
Hey Verm, you might look at one of these, I got one when I built this system 2 years ago. Nice to have clean power.

I've got everything plugged into a SergeMaster. It has never tripped. I'm thinking that my outlet voltage may be a little high. Hence the battery back up. It will hold voltage at a constant 120vac on 4 outlets. Other 4 are just serge protected. The only real constant with all 3 pc's is the house power.
Something else I just thought of. The ol'ladies laptop went through 2 MB's in just as many years. I'm thinking this house has a MB curse on it.
