My NEC 20WMGX2 has had to be sent back twice due to blacklight issues... My guess is that your monitor is dying and needs to be replaced... Does it have any different connections? Could you hook it up using DVI rather than the VGA cable or vice versa?

I had a computer that would always say cpu fan fail. My fan was working fine and it seemed to be loud at startup.

As long as its running and temps for the cpu are fine than dont worry about it i would say
