Long watch ahead! Very interesting video about the processes in which anything you may say to a police officer can be used against you, or how the slightest slip of the tongue can potentially put you behind bars. Even from things like a traffic stop. Kinda wondering what you police folks around here think about it. Part one is the more legal standpoint from the professor, and part two is the side of the officer, and how he can go about trying to get you to incriminate yourself.

One thing they didn't really mention though, is what happens if you take their advice and go for the 5th right away and not say a word. Even if you are completely innocent from any wrongdoing, and you just don't want to accidentally say something to incriminate yourself, what happens then? I guess this is more a question for Doom or anyone else in law enforcement here, but do you get hauled off to the station or what happens?
