Yeah, same thing happened to me when I cross-graded to the Mac version. There's a way to fix it if your saved data was backed up at all.

Dude I went to jury duty and put steam on my wife's laptop and when I installed all the games onto it it wiped all my shit for every game. what a fucking joke. I will never buy another game from steam unless its a game by Valve like L4d2 or some shit. As for the new games to come like COD-Black OP's, Bioshock 2 and soon to be part 3 :shock:

, and Fallout NV. im going back to disc's atleast that way when im done with a game I can give it away or sell/trade it in. What a bunch of BS.

Tip, always back up your Steam save data before you install on other computers. Go offline mode, restore backups, go online mode if problems come up.

All of your Steam cloud data is saved in the "userdata" folder in the root Steam folder.

In there is a numbered folder. Inside that is a folder for each Steam Cloud game with corresponding game ID number.
