Cpu - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115211
ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231225
mb - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813157163
power supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817139006
Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811147153

Already got a Hard drive.

If you like browsing newegg take some time and put a rig together for under 1100, here is what I found real fast, dont know about the MB. this came to 1000

My comp was about a grand, there's a thread somewhere... got in back in like January though so you could probably get a little bit better one for the same price. Not including the extra RAM and SSD and monitor and such.

I hate looking through NE for other people.

First off why did you pick that gay ass case? There are plenty of similar priced Better looking/cooling cases. On second glance its not that bad to each there own I guess.

GPU meh on the 470, things are space heaters. I prefer ATI theses days.

What made you choose i7? If you are not going SLI or CF there is really no reason to spend the extra 100-200 over a good i5 QC 750/760. Also Sandy Brigde is coming out soon and those should surpass the current i5/i7s.

Ram - Gskill FTW

PSU- Modular is the way to go son. 620 is more then youll need if you are keeping single GPU. Shoot I even have one I can sell you for 75 bucks.

Mobo is all about what brand you like best and what you can afford.

How soon are you building? What type of HDD are you using? Thoughts on AMD?
If Mommy and Daddy were giving me 1100 I build this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811163171
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150505
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231316
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128448
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115067
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDe ... st=froogle

That puts you at 750ish without sdd/os. I still hate looking at NE for other people.

First off mommy and daddy arnt giving me a penny. The case was cheap and was first one I saw it ditnt look bad at all. I prefer nvidia over ati.
I'm not opposed to amd, but the last comp I built was Intel and it is great.
As for I7 you think its not that much better than I 5.

:) God why do rich kids get so uptight, gosh.

Its not about thinking its better its more about buying the right parts for what you going to use them for. i7s were made for SLI and CF they have 16x2 pcie slot for 2 GPUs and some even have more. If your only going with 1 GPU go 1156 with its 1 pcie and use the money towards a better GPU, SSDs, or even a better case.

I have a case fetish so you just pick what you want and we will leave it at that.

Im an Intel person myself. Im planing on picking up a used i5 760 when the SB come out till then Im rocking a i3 540. AMD is just priced bugdet minded and sometimes you get better performance for 1/2 the price.

GPU I liked Nividia back in the day till I got my 4870 then the 5770 ran circle around all the nubs with 9800s. I do think Im going to give them another chance and pick this up http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814261074

keep it real son....socket 775 ftw. you can do a $600.00 or less build and still have a smoke'n PC.............im just say'n. Both of my brother-in-laws built i7 systems when they 1st cam out and wish they would have never wasted thier money. take some time, read some shit and dont be the monkey-boy who get his hand stuck in the "it's the new shiny thing" trap. GL T.

When this PC i have buys the farm im gonna build another 775 system off the Wolfdale and that PC will last another 5 yrs like this one has. Guess im just a very frugal person is all. core 2 duo's and some AMD chips will have no problem running anything in the next 4/5 yrs so choose wisley my son.

granted i dont know tons, but my friend told me if you are building a house, are you building a base for a trailer or a mansion. i.e., the motherboard was the base. i pick the i7 processor, the smallest one the 920 is the most overclockable of the i7's, and then i looked at motherboards til i was getting used to the specs and what they actually meant lol. juden, that mobo looks ok, but needing upgrade sooner more than later, am i wrong?

Why would you buy that? You can build 1 to 2 Whole amd computers for that price. You buy a 50 dollar video card(5670) and spend 500+ on mobo/cpu? You guys are smokin some strong weed.
