[REGS]_Bullet-Magnet

Postby UW Ness » Sat May 24, 2008 9:48 pm

This guy has been a regular for a long time, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has been fed up with his constant whining, aptitude to switch to the winning team, and berating of just about everyone on his team. Today on Lennon, he was doing all of the above as usual, we had an MG on our first, and he said he was going to TK the next person to set up an MG over the first. Then, he actually did it. This isn't the first time he's threatened to do something like this, but it is the first time I've seen him actually TK like that on purpose.

I'm not very happy about this. All of the things mentioned above are things we shouldn't have to worry about from other players, especially someone wearing the REGS tag. Several other POWs were on, including S10 and Spud, along with a good number of regulars. I would like something to be done about him.

It is unfortunate that a long time Reg would get his name added to this section of the forums.

Sadly, I do agree with you. If he is on my team, one of the first things I do is mute his ass.

I've actually done this before with the admin mute to spare the whole team.

It's all true, today on donner I had to tell him to chill out several times.

Usually not my part to get involved in but for the sake of the friendly server and regs tag..

my take from last week.
During rails the axis won 4-0.. and throughout the rounds some players were telling him to shut up... didn't know what was happening...
anyways... i switched to allies to help out.. and i realized what was going on.. he kept yelling over the mic.. he was being a major distraction to other players on the team... (really, no one can play or have fun when your being yelled at by some stranger) eventually he started to use profanity words..and being extremely rude to other players...calling individuals "idiots" and telling them to quit cause they "suck"..etc... I tried telling him to chill out.. but he kept going.

Yeah, he displays this sort of behavior any time his team isn't dominating the other. The only reason I usually don't mute him is to be aware of what he says, in case he goes overboard. I haven't posted him here until now because I didn't think that it was necessarily breaking the rules to be a dick, but I've really had quite enough of hearing his whining every time he plays. Whether it's over his team or the game developers, there's always something. And having to deal with the fallout between the players that he insults is not fun for anybody. Like Kapo said, it's a major distraction and it ruins the fun for the entire team. The intentional team killing of another player today was just the last straw.

A pm to him about this would have been a sufficient first step. I'm more than guilty of a few frustration tks myself over the years.

Now if we could only get Grouch to stop slaying everying he doesn't know.

If you are getting aggravated while playing on the server then try leaving for a bit. I suggest doing push-ups until the feeling passes.

Sorry to know that it had happened on wider scale. I had a similar experience with
him a little while ago. I did not let it flare up, took a step back and muted him. It is
sad to see a player with REG tags doing this. Perhaps, this might be his idea of
motivating other players.

And as Spanish has pointed out, the other reg should be talked into not doing what
he is becoming good at. For the record, it is not with everyone he does not know,
some of the regs who may have just forgiven him a while ago for the same offense,
has tasted his slaying too.

And I have tried the suggestion of doing push-ups, but the problem is, as soon as
I go on my all fours, my younger kid climbs my back thinking that I am getting ready
to give him a pony ride.

I'm not sure you know this, but in America, you're allowed to let your knees touch if you have a child on your back. Look it up, Children's Hospital vs Bobo The Lazy Clown Physical Therapist, a preeminent case for pushup rights.

A few months back Bullet-Magnet tk'ed me on Highlander for not
moving up. I was using a different name so he didn't know it was me. But
I was using an MG covering the allies first flag from the bushes right out
of allies spawn on the left. And he decided to tk me and say "haha, now
look at your score". At the time my score was like 20-2 because our team
couldn't do crap and they kept getting to our first flag. So I decided to
start covering it with my MG. Well after he tk'ed me I had enough of that
shit and left.

So, no it is not the first time he has done this shit.

Not a surprise.

Let's all please be aware that there is a huge diffeerence between Bullet-Magnet and Bullet-Sponge. It took me a while to differentiate between the two, but the difference is huge.

To the above indiscretions I must add Magnet's propensity for political talk of the most odious nature, whilst in-game.

I abhor political discussion quite enough in these forums, as there are few surer ways to drive a wedge between the members of this or any gaming community. I will NOT tolerate it in-game. Frankly, consider this your warning, all of you.

There's no need to fiddle fuck around here. If he TKs for that reason, regardless of the REGS tags, boot his ass off the server. If he does not come back on with the proper respect for the server and it's players, we do not need him playing here.

He can get quite verbal during ingame moments. Granted that I'm probably right under him in the amount I talk but I definetly dont think a full ban is in order. Doesnt really sound like thats being discussed to much anyway. A boot in the ass once in awhile serves a good purpose, I know I've had my fair share of being told to shut the hell up.
