God bless the NHL Sr. Though I fear the budding dynasty that was the Vancouver Canucks of the early 2000's is a distant fond memory now that Bertuzzi is a convict, and Naslund is a free agent.
I hope Bert gets reinstated, and Nazzy re-signs, or it may be a much different NHL for the Nucks this season.

Judging from the notions expounded by theologians, it seems that God created most men, simply with a view to crowding Hell.

I wouldn't make the assumption that it was only (or in most cases predominately) the British.
For the first two years of the war, a significant number of troops were Canadian militia and Indian allies. It wasn't until 1814 that large numbers of British reinforcements arrived.
The US Army site has a of the war - quoted below:
" [Brig. Gen. William Hull] arrived at Fort Detroit on July 5, 1812, with a force of about 1,500 Ohio militiamen and 300 Regulars ... the whole enemy force on the Detroit frontier amounted to about 150 British Regulars, 300 Canadian militiamen, and some 250 Indians led by Tecumseh."
The Canadians, Brits and Indians captured Detroit, and threw Hull in jail.
Rommel, I don't think your characterization that the "british" were older and better trained was a factor in the early part of the war - I think the "british" had superior leadership (not hard, the early American commanders were awful,) and the Indians were superior fighters (before their will was broken upon the death of Techmseh.)
Any other U.E.L.?

hey now, we burned down the white house!
But yeah our military is pretty pathetic unfortunately. Alot of people up here really think we don't need a military cuz we can hide under the iron curtain taht is the united states. I personally hate having to rely on someone else to defend ourselves. BUt it makes sense. America gets a majority of it's natural resources from US, so it's a partnership that actually works out fine.

The US could learn a few things from France on how to fight terrorists.
If you think the patriot act goes way too far, take a look at the .
They're far to the left of the US on the social spectrum, so don't
think it's some right-wing dictatorship in Paris.
The Washington Post has a on France's counter-terrorism HQ.
