**UPDATE**

The new address is: sodium.typefrag.com:39500. Passwords will remain the same, just change the address in Ventrillo.

The POW Ventrilo server has been updated to 3.0. The new update is available at ventrilo.com.

Ok sooooo...
I hear people perfectly in vent. My mic works in game. Ever since upgrading to 3.0 (well not quite) my vent ping has been showing up as 2000+. It quite enjoys 3750. I hear voices in realtime but I cant speak or even really send comments because theres like a 30 second delay. Any recommendations? It tracerts fine, which really adds to the frustration.

Dumb question here!

Postby Sgt_Rock » Sun Mar 30, 2008 10:36 am

What is the advantage of downloading and installing this as opposed to using the regular in-game mic? Enlighten me please! :)

You can use as much profanity as you want with the Vent users who may or
may not be in same team, which otherwise you would not be able to do using
in-game voice chat.

There are bucket loads.
One is being able to get an Admins attention if there is an asshat in the server.
Plus you get to know players and much more.
You might even get to learn the secret spells we use in game and be as powerful as us one day.

I could really use those some days Crud! 8)

Is this just for POW members or is it open to anyone who enjoys spending time on the POW server?

Vent is open for both POWs and REGS so come join us!

As Gennie said, you can talk to people in Vent when you're dead or alive, on different teams, whenever. We try to keep in-game chat fairly limited to game-talk and strategizing and stuff, Vent is more for casual conversation as well as game stuff, more informal and friendly. We usually have some good laughs in there. And of course, there's usually an admin on it somewhere in case someone starts acting up. And yeah, no holds barred on swearing in Vent, but that doesn't mean we want you to throw shitfits! :P You'll kinda figure it out once you're in there.

Rock just PM Rommel and he'll set you up with an account so you can get in on the fun!
