Free Windows Vista (32bit - 64bit) (WFP)

Postby Quisp » Tue Dec 11, 2007 8:37 pm

Windows Feedback Program is giving away software if you sign up.
Not just for Vista people anyone can do this. There is 2 programs so read
which one you want to do. The program I think is 3 months and after that
you get the software. Enjoy!

Check the info here

I am still keeping up with my Quispy Deals page if your interested in some
good deals. I just put the best of the best.

Is it only a free copy of Vista, or is there other software available? And also, will they send you a cd copy, or is it something that you'll download? And if download, can you like save it to a disc to install later?

ALSO, you don't have to like install it first and use it, then do the surveys do you? My computer is Vista capable I think, but I don't want to run Vista and risk slowing down my system, but it'd be cool to have a copy to use when I get a new computer down the road...

From what I have seen so far, here is the software you will get to pick from
at the end of the programs.

- Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit and 64-bit DVD)
- Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
- Microsoft Money Plus Premium
- Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008
- Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008

If you do the survey program, they will email you a link to take a survey
about every 2 weeks. And from one place I noticed it looks like it will be
about 3 months long, so I am figuring about 6 surveys. General questions
on how you use windows. (XP or Vista) which ever you use now.

The automated program all you need to do is install a program that will
send data to MS on a regular basis on crashes, and software and
hardware, and other stuff.

I'm after the Vista 64bit version so I can do some testing on it.
In the last program they sent me a package with the serial number and I
had to download Office Pro 2k7. I could then burn it and install it. I just
ended up saving to my server.

I'm not sure if they will send a product or like they did last time.
Either way its free software that I wouldn't normal go spend $100-200+ on.

Possibly a nub question, but what's the difference between 32 bit Vista and 64 bit?

I've been following this thread. I haven't been sent any other surveys other than the initial one. Guess only time will tell

Thank you for participating in the Windows Feedback Program!

This message is to notify you that you are a registered member of the program, and so far you have met all requirements to qualify for the free product offer. Congratulations!

As a reminder, when you registered for the program, we stated that you will receive your product only after we have confirmed that you have:

· Entered a valid e-mail and shipping address.
· Fully completed the survey.
· Downloaded and installed the software on Windows Vista or XP.
· Used our software for at least 3 months on a Windows Vista or XP computer that is periodically connected to the Internet.

As part of the registration process, we indicated that if we detect your computer not to be sending data, you would be notified accordingly.

We are currently receiving data from your PC on a frequent basis, and as soon as you complete the 3 months participation term, your free product selection will be sent to the mailing address you submitted at registration.

Your product selection:
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit and 64-bit DVD)

You may also receive an occasional invitation to participate in a Windows product survey, though this is not guaranteed.

If you have any questions, or if your mailing address has changed, please contact us at winpanel@microsoft.com.

Thank You,
The Windows Experience Team

I got a survey on Feb 2or3, but I didn't check my email for a couple days.
When I clicked on the link it told me that they had enough data for that
survey, so I didn't have to do anything.

The surveys will show up every few weeks or so. This was a 3 month deal,
with about 6 surveys.

Surveys only - no monitoring of anything.
